Anything You Need
Artist: Peter Gabriel
Song: Sledgehammer
Album: So
Model: Avant Garde
Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire UK

Notes:-
I love the fact that this song hit the top of the charts and its almost completely a double-entendre for sex. I know this isn’t new or the first time its happened but for Gabriel I think it was. It’s almost his coming out song. Brazenly accepting that its ok to feel sexy and to have sex and to love it. I’ve no idea what happened in his life or why he wrote this song but it’s sexy as hell.

Discovering sex, I mean really, really good sex for the first time in your life is liberating, exciting and all consuming. It’s still mostly a taboo subject for some inexplicable reason. The British attitude to a naked human being never ceases to amaze me. Sex itself is still kept under wraps and considered something not for general discussion. I’ve always wondered what the world would be like if we had a totally different attitude to the subject of sex, if we didn’t have the ridiculous old religious approach. Almost everyone does it at some point, some are obsessed with it, some can take it or leave it but all know of its existence and yet we maintain this false façade of ‘hiding’ it. It’s kinda weird if you think too hard about it.

I worked with Avant Garde here to produce a series of images that hopefully capture the mood of the song. It’s about sex but it isn’t too crudely putting it out there. She’s goddamn gorgeous, willing to be anything the viewer wants her to be, at the drop of a hat. She’s intimate and filthy but maintains an exciting (and sexy) innocence somehow. She’s available, a call away, to be anything you need because she, well… wants you as much as you want her!
