greenland - disko bay & ilulissat

The land of the midnight sun. We travelled and enjoyed the icebergs floating around Disko Bay on the west coast. The ever quickening melt of the vast Sermeq Kujalleq glacier is both scary and astonishing. The tranquil beauty of both the ice and the wildlife is a world away from daily life and routine.

We experienced many 'moments' of emotional clarity while spending our all too short week aboard a sailing vessel designed for the calm but treacherous bay.
