Notes:-
No list of music can be complete without a song by The Beatles right? Well…maybe I have them in here for the wrong reason! I have them in here because I really don’t like them. All through my life I’ve been told they were the best, the first, the band that changed everything. Really? Were they? I just haven’t ever ‘got’ them.

Sure, they wrote some good pop songs but I can’t understand why they’re considered to be the ‘best’ and so influential. Many bands before and since have written much more influential music and I don’t view them as anything special at all. I accept I’m in the minority. However, I haven’t put them in this list to be controversial. They’ve been around me all my life. I’ve heard them everywhere, from discos and parties to radio plays and supermarkets, in fact, general all round life. They don’t inspire me or remind me of a good or bad time in my life, they’ve just always been around. It’s for this reason I’ve put them on my list.

Regardless of my feelings, I accept they’ve left a mark on some and for giving me Oasis, I thank them.

The line itself is one we could all do with remembering. No matter what our emotional state at any one time, good or bad, remaining grounded is important. I for one, know this isn’t always easy.

The shot itself I’d tried to organise a few times but due to weather and models letting me down, took longer than I’d hoped. The day itself turned out to be perfect weather wise. It was blowing a gale up on top of Cherhill White Horse (it always does up there!) in Wiltshire. The sun was shining and all looked set for a great shoot. However, it became even better when in the distance, we watched a large, heavy hail shower blow straight towards us. This provided the perfect addition to an already wonderful backdrop that can stretch for 40 miles on a good day. (and yes, we did get soaked 20 minutes later!)
