This album always reminds me of being young, living with my parents and my little Sister. This “new romantic shit” was always being played by her on the family record player. I hated it as it represented everything I stood against in my punk years. Trite, commercial pop exploiting the youth. It’s only now that I begrudgingly accept that the songs aren’t too bad. My sister loved them and I ridiculed her for it. I look back with happy memories of those days but I hope she does too as I don’t think I was easy to live with at that time.

The shot is for her, a take on how I’m sure she felt towards me at times and wished she could act out for real. I wasn’t easy to pin down as I was always off out with mates and didn’t sit still for long. My sister was pure and innocent at the time, she was lovely and gentle, I wasn’t. I’m sorry Simmy!
