Drown
Artist: Front Porch Step
Song: Drown
Album: Aware
Model: Ezzie
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire UK

Notes:-
When I first heard this it assaulted me. It’s relentless, angry rant at the person that broke his heart is pitiful and heart-breaking. Yet, I’m left knowing that he doesn’t want it to be this way and he’d have her back in an instant if he could, but he can’t, and that’s the point.

There’s also little point in much explanation here either. Any break up is a grief process and we all go through the desperation stage and then reach the angry phase that is peppered with confusion and regret. Many songs write about the first stage but very few this part. It’s the reason the song hits home for me.

Ezzie and I planned this at fairly short notice having seen the weather forecast and for some reason I thought the long evening dress would suit the approach I wanted. We tried several different locations around the reservoir but when we saw this we knew it would work the best. It wasn’t too cold on this January day but it soon was for poor Ezzie who got drenched through to her skin in the name of my art! I did buy her lunch to make up for it a bit afterwards!
