Tease, Tease, Tease
Artist: The Clash
Song: Should I stay or should I go
Album: Combat Rock
Model: ‘Jezebelle’
Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire UK

Notes:-
The Clash formed a big part of my early years with their punk and post-punk offerings. “Should I stay or should I go” carried exactly the thoughts we all have at some point in any relationship. The dilemma is nearly always fraught with a no-win scenario.

The sexual connotation of this line sums up perfectly for me the base levels of many difficulties in stopping a relationship when you’re young. The flip-flopping of emotions that seem life threatening at the time, “one day it’s fine and next it’s black” capture wonderfully the lowest common denominator of many of my past relationships. This politically incorrect image relates to my old inability to end something that should be ended as soon as something, let’s politely say, ‘shorter term’ was on offer…

I often wonder how many couples confuse sex and love and end up in unhappy relationships without ever understanding why.
