Dreaming
Artist: Aerosmith
Song: I don’t want to miss a thing
Album: Armageddon
Model: ‘Mimi’
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire UK

Notes:-
I must admit this song (and the film) is a guilty pleasure for me. A love song of the highest soppiness it effortlessly puts into words the feelings I’ve had when I’ve found true love. The song is made all the better by Steve Tyler’s contradictory screeching, climactic vocals over the 52-piece orchestra. A true masterpiece in my eyes and one that still makes the hairs on my arms and neck rise each time I hear it.

I hope this isn’t unique to me but the line used for the image panders to my desperate need to be loved back. The requirement that my love is reciprocated. The dreamy soft focus effect, the laid bare defenceless affection of my love, holds all the power over me in this moment. It tries to capture that moment of perfect clarity I sometimes get. When I know all that matters is this one person, this one human that I love so completely and deeply.
